Gujarat Titans vs Punjab Kings Betting Tips 03/05/2022

Teams Status

Gujarat Titans

Gujarat Titans have now won five straight matches. Their last defeat, their only of their debut tournament so far, came on April 11 when they were beaten by Sunrisers Hyderabad.

Titans’ USP has been their incredible hitting late in their innings with the game on the line. On multiple occasions now, they have found their clutch time saviors. It also means that while they have lost just once all season, quite a few of their wins have been close. Thus, while Lady Luck smiles on them often, they are not invincible by any means.

Shubman Gill’s form has been poor of late while they also don’t know who their best option for one-down spot is.

Good news is that their incredible form means they are just a win or two away from a playoff berth. After that, they can do all the experiments they want to further close in on their best playing eleven.

Punjab Kings

Punjab Kings have won just one of their last four matches and camped low in the points table, with there being no guarantees that their slide would stop at their current seventh spot.

They’ve taken a few too many risks than they could afford and it reflects in their position.

In their last game, they lost to Lucknow Super Giants but really should have won, especially considering they had to chase a modest target of 154. Effort of their pacer Kagiso Rabada (four-for) went in vain as Punjab batters returned another disjointed effort.

Several of their batters are underperforming but none more so than Jonny Bairstow, whose highest is 32, which came in the last game but it took him 28 balls to get there. Perhaps, it’s time to reinstate Odean Smith and give the Englishman a stint on the bench.
