Knight Riders vs Royals Betting Tips 02/05/2022

Teams Status

Kolkata Knight Riders

We’re in May and Kolkata last won an IPL match on April 6. That’s almost an entire month in a two-month long tournament without a win.

During this sequence, their lowest score has been 148, which is not the worst total by any means and shows that their batters have not been horrific. The blame goes more to their bowlers, who have conceded two 200+ scores in this run. Two of those five defeats have been close as well, which tells us that luck has also not been on their side.

The result is that Kolkata are now more a part of the bottom three that includes Mumbai and Chennai than the other seven above them.

Venkatesh Iyer, Pat Cummins, Varun Chakravarthy, Ajinkya Rahane – neither of those are doing much, forcing KKR into trying a series of changes, including batting order reshuffles and what not. Shreyas Iyer and Umesh Yadav have been the two exceptions to their non-performing locals.

Rajasthan Royals

On the other hand, Rajasthan Royals were riding a three-match winning streak until it got snapped in their last outing, which was against Mumbai Indians of all the teams.

The third-place Royals now carry the stain of being the only side to be beaten by the league’s worst side so far this season.

They owe their high position on the points table to two stars: Jos Buttler, who leads the scoring charts and Yuzvendra Chahal, who is atop the wicket-takers’ list.

Take those two out and Royals’ would become a completely different outfit. It’s time that some of their other capable players such as Shimron Hetmyer, captain Sanju Samson and Devdutt Padikkal start pulling their weight.
