Bangladesh vs Afghanistan 3nd ODI Betting Tips 28/02/2022

Teams Status

Thanks to wins in each of the first two ODIs, Bangladesh now stand on the cusp of an impressive whitewash against a side that is not too far behind in terms of overall talent.

Despite the series already in the bag, the Tigers would still want to give their all to win this as it would net them an extra ten points in the ODI Super League.

What’s remarkable is that Bangladesh’s twin wins have come despite their two main batsmen – captain Tamim Iqbal and star allrounder Shakib Al Hasan – failing both the times. The duo would want to get some runs under their belt ahead of the T20I series where Afghanistan are expected to be much more competitive.

Afghanistan are a decent T20 side but a below average ODI side and that became more evident in this series as they appeared to look without a working plan.

The main problem over the first two ODIs has been the no-show of their ace spin trio Rashid Khan, Mujeeb Ur Rehman and Mohammad Nabi.

All three have combined to take just three wickets between themselves so far. Thus, when a breakthrough was needed in the series opener, they could not provide and when the same was required in the last game, they again were ineffective.

The batters have not wrapped themselves in glory either but then this is a side led by their spin unit so more was expected of the bowlers.

There have also been question marks on the decisions being made by new captain Hashmatullah Shahidi, especially when it comes to bowling rotations.
